  1. Members will have to pay the usual out-of-pocket expenses such as deductible, copayment, coinsurance, or non-covered services. Later, they will complete an international claim form and send it to the BCBS Global Core Service Center. For more information, members can.
  2. The CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Advantage Core (HMO) has a monthly premium of $35.00 and has an in-network Maximum Out-of-Pocket limit of $7,550 (MOOP). This means that if you get sick or need a high cost procedure the co-pays are capped once you pay $7,550 out of pocket.

Medicaid coverage only applies within the U.S. Medicaid members are covered only within their service area. This service area includes Illinois and surrounding state counties that are contracted with BCBSIL.

HMO members and Medicare Supplement Plan F members can use the Global Core program only for emergency care. If HMO or Medicare Supplement Plan F members get care from doctors or hospitals not contracted with BCBS Plans, they will pay the provider up-front. Members will have to pay the usual out-of-pocket expenses such as deductible, copayment, coinsurance, or non-covered services. Later, they will complete an international claim form and send it to the BCBS Global Core Service Center.
